Fiji Football Association is now sorting out applications received for the 2016 Global Flight Center/ Fiji Football Awards night which closed this week.
The event will be held at Yue Lai hotel in Suva on March 18.
Fiji FA chief executive officer Bob Kumar said this was a great opportunity for footballers and those behind the seasons to be recognised.
“This is an opportunity to recognise footballers and administrators who have contributed to the development of football in Fiji, “Kumar said.
Kumar said they had an independent judge’s panel and the decision of the judging panel will be final and no debate or correspondence will be entered into.
“We are sorting out the application for the nominees and will short list for the in depended judges to decide the best.”
He said they were trying to make this even much bigger and better and have invited other sponsors to come on board.
“Global Flight Center are the major sponsors of this event but we have got other sponsors who will sponsor in some of the categories.”
Kumar thanked all the sponsors for coming on board and supporting the development of the sport in the country.
