Fiji Football Association will adopt a new format in the Vodafone Senior and Youth League from this season.
Fiji FA chief executive officer Bob Kumar said the Board has abrogated the zonal league format.
Kumar said instead they were going to have a Viti Levu League for teams in Viti Levu and one for teams in Vanua Levu.
“For the premier league it will be eight teams and even the youths (Under-16 and U18) and the senior division league will also be in Viti Levu and Vanua Levu format, “he said.
There will be no zonal system, it will be different.
“This year we have introduced the Viti Levu League and everybody will be travelling like Nadroga going to Vatukoula and Vatukoula coming down to play in Nadroga or Navua,” he said.
He said the Vodafone Senior League would be a home and away basis.
