The Navua Youth side currently leads the Vodafone Youth League Southern Zone points table with nine points after the completion of third round.
The Sailosi Danford coached side have been unbeaten in the competition and are on track to win the competition this year.
The side defeated Nasinu 1-0 in the fixture last Saturday at FFA Academy Ground in Vatuwaqa.
Danford said he was happy with his team’s performance so far in the competition.
“Iam happy with the results so far and now we just need to do better and be consistent in the competition, “he said.
He says the competition is tougher this year and they need to keep their momentum going.
“The tournament is getting hard, teams are now being more competitive. There is more emphasis now on producing young quality players by the teams which is why it is tough.
Tailevu Naitasiri Youth side is on second spot after playing two matches in which they won one and drew one.
Coach Elvis Goundar said their aim was to win the title this year.
“Our aim is to win the title this year after winning the Vodafone National under 17 League last year,”Goundar said.
Goundar said he was confident of catching up in the second round.
“So far we have won one match and drew one match but I am confident we will come back in the second round,”Goundar said,
Goundar said they had kept the same players who participated in the Vodafone under 17 League last year.
“We have the same team which won the Southern Zone under 17 League last year and are ready to continue where we left l.”Goundar said.
The babies of Tailevu Naitasiri were on bye last weekend.
Rewa in on third spot after a win and a loss with three points while Nasinu is on fourth position with one draw and Suva is yet to register a win.
