The Navua Youth side currently leads the Vodafone Youth League Southern Zone points table with nine points after the completion of third round.

The Sailosi Danford coached side have been unbeaten in the competition and are on track to win the competition this year.

The side defeated Nasinu 1-0 in the fixture last Saturday at FFA Academy Ground in Vatuwaqa.

Danford said he was happy with his team’s performance so far in the competition.

“Iam happy with the results so far and now we just need to do better and be consistent in the competition, “he said.

He says the competition is tougher this year and they need to keep their momentum going.

“The tournament is getting hard, teams are now being more competitive. There is more emphasis now on producing young quality players by the teams which is why it is tough.
