The Nasinu football side is aiming for a win against Ba in the second round of the Vodafone Premier League this Sunday at FFA Academy Ground Two in Ba.
Association president Lal O’neil Chand said their captain Manasa Levanci has aimed to return with three points from Ba.
“The confidence in our captain has boosted the morale in the camp and we are happy that our players are eager to make us proud,’
“We lost one nil against Ba in the first round and drew 2-2 in the Vodafone Fiji FACT and we are confident we will go a step ahead on Sunday, “Chand said.
Chand said there would be few changes made to the team as two key players are in Vanuatu with the Vodafone national team.
“Two of our best players, Savenaca Baleidrokadroka and Isikeli Ratucava who are part of the National team will not be playing this weekend.
“Ratucava plays as left defender while Baleidrokadroka is a utility player and this has left vacuum in our team but we have some youth players who will do job,” said Chand
Ba coach, Roneel Kumar said they were preparing well for Nasinu.
“We know Nasinu is not an easy team because they shocked us during the Vodafone Fiji FACT after coming from behind to hold us to a 2-2 draw.
“Ba is really focusing on our defending part at the moment so we are really focused on Nasinu. We are taking each game very seriously so we want to qualify for the O-League so we taking each game seriously so it doesn’t matter which team we are playing.”
Ba will miss the services of Kishan Sami and Manasa Rakula due to national team commitment while Malakai Tiwa will be out after copping red card against Lautoka in the last VPL match.
The match will kick off at 3pm.
Meanwhile in other VPL matches Suva will host Tavua at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori at 3pm on Sunday while Labasa will host Rewa at Ganilau Park in Savusavu at 1.30pm on Saturday.
