Fiji Football Association will host its annual Awards Night this Saturday at Yue Lei Hotel in Suva.
Fiji Football Association president Rajesh Patel said over the years this prestigious awards had set a platform for the national body to honour the achievements of players and officials, something which we would like to see continue.
“Unfortunately the awards night was not held last year because of the disturbance by Cyclone Winston but we are making this event much bigger and better this year, “Patel said.
He said the awards night was to acknowledge the hard work and commitment by both players and those behind the scenes.
“This is an opportunity to recognise footballers and administrators who have contributed to the development of football in Fiji, “Patel said.
“As practiced previously, we once again requested the districts to nominate players and officials who they thought deserved to be honored.
Patel said it was an opportunity for football managers to give recognition to the footballers who had given their best throughout the season and such awards would have a lasting effect and impact on the careers of footballers.
“It takes a lot of sacrifice and commitment to be part of a football season and the hard working persons should be honored.”
“I would like to offer special word of thanks to all our sponsors, particularly the Global Flight Center for the continuous support towards our Annual Awards Night.
