The Vodafone National Football Men’s team leaves our shores tomorrow for the upcoming June FIFA International friendlies in Vanuatu.
Head coach Christophe Gamel has named a 20-member squad to battle hosts Vanuatu and Tahiti.
During the team announcement ceremony, Gamel reminded the boys about their tough battle coming up.
He said this tour is also a buildup to the Pacific Games in Samoa in July.
“It will not be easy,” he said.
“Both Tahiti and Vanuatu are also preparing for the Pacific Games and since this is FIFA sanctioned, these games will be contributing towards our rankings.”
“So we have a huge task ahead of us.
“My message to you all is play with pride.”
In the Tri-Nations series, the Bula Boys will face Tahiti this Thursday, June 06, and battles host Vanuatu on Monday, June 10. Both matches will kick off at 4pm (Fiji Time).
