Roylux Realty Ba FC players will share in the club’s $17,000 winners’ prize money from the BiC Fiji FACT 2026, with association president Praneel Dayal also confirming the team will receive an additional bonus following their historic triumph.
Ba ended a 16-year wait for the Fiji FACT title after defeating IRA Group Navua FC 3-1 in a penalty shootout following a scoreless draw after extra time in the grand final at Subrail Park, Labasa.
Dayal said the players deserved to be rewarded for their commitment and outstanding performances throughout the tournament.
“Our players will receive their share of the prize money, and we will also reward them with a bonus. They have worked extremely hard and fully deserve to be recognised for bringing the Fiji FACT trophy back to Ba,” Dayal said.
While celebrations have already begun among the club’s supporters, Dayal said plans for an official victory celebration are yet to be finalised.
“We haven’t decided on a major celebration yet. We will meet soon and discuss our plans, but for now our focus shifts back to the Extra Premier League.”
Dayal said he had been overwhelmed by the messages of congratulations and phone calls received since Ba’s triumph.
“The support has been incredible. I have received so many messages and phone calls from our supporters, former players and well-wishers. I sincerely thank everyone for believing in us and standing by the team throughout this journey.”
He also praised the efforts of the coaching staff, management, players and executives, saying the title was the result of months of dedication and teamwork.
“This success belongs to everyone involved with Ba Football. I want to thank our management, coaches, players, executives and everyone working behind the scenes. Their hard work, sacrifice and commitment have made this achievement possible.”
With the Fiji FACT trophy secured, Dayal said the Men in Black are determined to carry their winning momentum into the remainder of the Extra Premier League season as they continue their pursuit of more silverware.
