Warainivalu dedicates award to mum, grandmum

“This award is for my mum Iliana Mototabua and grandmother Merewalesi Mototabua,” he said.#The Rewa midfielder said both women played an important role in his football career.#“They are my strength because they always pray for me when I’m on the field,” he said.#“My mother and my grandmother are very supportive towards my football career. They always motivate me and are always there cheering me on from the grandstand.”#Warainivalu also dedicated the award to his club president Pita Cecil.#“I play for Nakasi Lions Football Club and without their support I would have not achieved what I have today. Also to entire Rewa officials you always help look after me.”#Club president and Rewa Football Association vice-president Cecil congratulated Warainivalu for the award and said he deserved it.#“Te is a very discipline and a hardworking person on and off the field. He was the man in the middle who was working hard and his work rate was very high in this tournament as he played gallantly. He always listens to the senior players and does whatever coach Marika Rodu advices him. #“He is always keen in learning and that is making him better in every match. Te is always with me whenever he is free and I see that he is a quiet person.” #Warainivalu has also been named in the Vodafone Fiji national senior team for the two friendly matches against Tonga and American Samoa later this month.#
