Reddy will be sadly missed: Fiji FA

Reddy allegedly drowned while swimming with team mates during a team excursion on Tuesday.#His body was discovered following a search and attempts to revive him were sadly in vain.#Fiji FA President Rajesh Patel says the loss is a tragedy and he will be missed by the football family in Fiji.#“We have lost an upcoming player and true son of Fiji. One who had football in his heart and football was his life.#”We announce the demise of Muni Shalit Reddy with a heavy heart and pray to god almighty to give courage and strength to his family in this tough time. We will be by their side in this mourning period and will try to support them in every possible way.”#“We will cater all the funeral expenses for Reddy,” said Patel.#The Nadi Muslim College student was one of the midfielders of the Vodafone Fiji U17 side participating in the OFC U17 Championship in Samoa.#The late Reddy would have celebrated his 17th birthday on March 26.#He attended primary school at A.D Patel Primary School and secondary school at Nadi Muslim College.#Reddy started playing football when he was only 10years and represented A.D Patel Primary School U-10, U-12 and U-14 team.#He also played in the Under 15, U-17 and U19 team for Nadi Muslim College and also represented Nadi U16 team last year.#Fiji FA Media
