AD Patel creates History

In an all-Western final AD Patel defeated fellow Ba based school, Kamil College 6-0.# #Young 15- year old Louisa Tamanitokula was one of the most outstanding players during the championship. #Tamanitokula claimed a hat trick in the final to take her toll to a total of 16 goals in the competition. #AD Patel, in the road to the final was undefeated and their principal Vinod Sharan says winning the inaugural championship was a historic moment for the school. #“It is a historic win. The girls displayed good soccer and talent that we have is great. We will be looking at getting our other age group teams in competitions to develop them,” Sharan said. #Fiji FA Women’s football director Susan Wise thanked the participating schools for their commitment. #“I would like to thank the schools, teachers and not forgetting the parents which have made this U16 competition possible,” Wise said. #“There may be winners and losers in this competition but at the end of the day they are all champions in their own right. We will look for ways to make this competition bigger and better,” she said. #Southern based Adi Cakobau and Vashist Muni College found the going tough but no doubt will grow stronger in time. #The Fiji FA technical department will select a squad which will prepare for the 2014 Oceania Football Confederation (OFC) Under 17 FIFA World Cup playoffs. # Fiji FA MEDIA
