Ba, Suva confirm 2015 Champions League Spot

With Suva being crowned the 2014 Fiji Sun /Skipper Tuna National Football League champions a fortnight ago the second spot was for the taking with Nadi and Ba sides in the running as the National League entered its final round last weekend. #A 2-1 victory over Lautoka last Thursday night kept Nadi in the hunt and they only hoped that Suva would somehow upset Ba to earn them the available spot. #Govind Park hosted the Suva-Ba clash on Saturday and the 2-2 end result meant that league winner Suva and Ba would progress to the 2015 OFC Champions League with Nadi finishing third overall. #After successfully hosting the OFC Champions League earlier this year Fiji has once again been chosen as the host for the 2015 event. #As the Fiji league concluded last weekend, the Navua side has been relegated to the premier division and Tailevu Naitasiri will feature in the top division. #The new league season is expected to start this November. #Fiji Football Association competitions manager Amitesh Pal says the 2014 season was a successful one. #“The 2014 season was a very competitive and intense one. I would like to thank the sponsors for their continued support as well as the participating districts,” Pal said. #“The new season which should start in November will see Tailevu Naitasiri in the top division and Navua at the bottom. Overall an exciting season is awaiting.”# # Fiji FA MEDIA
