Fiji FA defers awards night

Fiji FA president Rajesh Patel said the deferment was a show of respect to the people in the country who are going through the trauma of Cyclone Winston.#“We all know that most people in Fiji have been affected with this natural disaster and it is appropriate for us to defer all football activities for a month as it is also been declared a State of Emergency,” he said.#Patel said they would wait for the lives of people to normalise than it would be decided when the awards will be held.#“We will see for a month how it goes and then it will be decided when we are going to host the annual awards night.#“It will be hard for all of us but I guess life has to move on.”#The Fiji Football Association annual awards night is staged to recognise players, officials, coaches, and referees for their contribution towards to development of football.#
