Defending Champions in tough Pool

Association president Mahen Prasad made these comments as the pool draws for the 2013 Vodafone Fiji FACT was held earlier today at the Vodafone Headquarters in Tamavua. #Suva has been seeded in Group 1 with Labasa, Nadroga and Ba while Nadi heads group 2 with Navua, Lautoka and Rewa in pool two. #“We have been pooled with tough opponents and it is always best to be playing against such teams.Ba will be one of the toughest team we will be playing but we have proven in the past that we can beat Ba on numerous occasions.Ba is more prepared than Suva this time around as they have been playing in Champions League,” Prasad said. #The Suva boss has full confidence in his coach to guide the side to a sucessful defence. #“We will be meeting with other executive members and then we will decide on the plans to defend our title this year. When the game times come all the teams becomes tough so we have to plan well with our coach Gurjit Singh,” Prasad added.#The first and second round of Fiji FACT will be played at the newly built ANZ Stadium in Suva on 15 th and 16 th of next month while the tournament proper will be played at Prince Charles Park in Nadi from 21-23 of next month. #Suva beat Ba 1-0 in the final last year which was played at Govind Park. # Fiji FA Media#
