Fiji teams ready for Aussies

Fiji FA chief executive officer Bob Kumar said the tournament has been growing bigger and better every year.
“This year we are having three age group teams participating from the South, West and North,” he said.
“We have U13, U16 and U18 girls and boys team which will play the touring Australian teams at three different venues.”
The games will be played at Denarau, Nadi Muslim College grounds, Govind Park in Ba and Fiji FA Academy Grounds in Ba.
Kumar said the Fiji teams have been preparing well for the tourney with random training camps.
“The tournament gives a lot of exposure to our young players playing against overseas teams.”
Fiji FA technical director Ravinesh Kumra said all the teams are from the development centres and centres of excellence from the West, South and North.
“This will give us a chance to select the best players for the national teams. We are looking at this tournament to scout the best players to form our national age group teams,” said Kumar.
He said the week-long tournament gives young kids a chance to show their talents against the Aussies.
The Ultimate Sports tournament is from December 6-13.
