Nasinu score upset win

Both teams gave their all in the first half but strong defence denied them from scoring.
Suva’s Filipo Tausi had an early break in the 25th minute beating the Nasinu defence but good goalkeeping from Nemesh Ram denied him to score. At the halftime both sides were locked 0-0.
Nasinu started the second half in playing deep into Suva’s half and Manit Lal found the target in the 58th minute when his smacked the ball past the Suva goalkeeper.
Nasinu maintained pressure hard on the Suva defense and minutes later Zynal Reddy doubled their lead.
Suva fought back strongly but failed to score as the Nasinu defence stood tall.
Nasinu coach Ashneel Datt said the boys had been training hard throughout the week.
“We looked forward to the game and players had been training.”
Suva Football Association president Mahendra Prasad said lack of concentration resulted in a loss.
Meanwhile, in other youth matches Nadi thumped Nadroga 4-0 at Lawaqa Park while Lautoka edged out Ba 1-0.
