Prepare well: Ibrahim

“The fitness level of the players is something of a concern which I have noticed in the recent matches played in last few weeks.
The players need to be more competitive nowadays when playing 90 minutes of matches.
National Football League this year is a new format and the teams have to take boldly steps to remain focus.
I have confidence in the players that they will do well when it comes to 90 minute tournament with Fiji FACT to begin with and playing for their districts,” National League board chairman said.
Ibrahim believes introduction of more Youth players in the senior side would be the players who would last throughout the match.
“The teams have to draft in more players in the squad from Youth to strengthen their side for the future matches.
One good example would be young Navua team who defeated Rewa laced with experience players like George Lui, James Naka and Veresa Toma.
Navua had the mixture of young and old and that is how they defeated more experienced Rewa last Sunday.”
Veteran football administrator Ibrahim has also stated that the onus is on the two bottom placed teams in the National Football League to do well if they are to remain in the Super Premier Division next year.
“Tavua and Savusavu have no other option but to start winning matches in the league competition if they are to see themselves in the same competition next season.” He said.
