Farina here to watch schoolboys football

Fiji FA president Rajesh Patel confirmed this yesterday.
“He is here in the country and will be looking at some of the potential players for our national team,” he said.
The former Australian star striker who guided the Fijian U20 side to their first FIFA U20 World Cup was impressed with the development programme set by Fiji Football.
“It’s good to be back visiting old friends for a few days and with the secondary schools competition on it perfectly fits as I get to watch some good football,” he said.
“I have been impressed and the standard is quite good.”
Fiji FA technical director Ravinesh Kumar said despite the heavy underfoot conditions, the players have done well so far.
“Considering the weather and the ground condition, I would say the competition has gone up to another level. The players are playing structured football.
They are not kicking and chasing. They are trying to control and play from the back,” he said.
Kumar added that the national selectors are at the ground scouting for the potential players to represent the country.
