Kumar says his players deserved the credit for the victory.
“It was not an easy game against AS Magenta and hats-off to the players. The team has been preparing well for the past five weeks and have been sacrificing and the result speaks for itself,” Kumar said.
When asked about their chances, Kumar had this to say.
“This is our sixth appearance in the Oceania Champions League and we will do our nation proud,” he said.
Ba faces Tafea in their next group match on Thursday 1pm at Govind Park. Kumar says the clash will be a vital one for both sides.
“Tafea have also won their first game as Ba and one can say that this will be the clash of the pool. There is still a long way to go,” Kumar said.
