First round League Postponed

On request of the sponsors due to the adverse weather conditions Fiji Football Association League board has shifted the opening to next weekend.
On theother hand Tailevu Naitasiri Football Association president Sundeep Roy has filed another protest against Nadroga.
They claim Nadroga yet again fielded ineligible players Jone Nailogi and Setareki Delana during the second leg of the Fiji Football Association promotion /relegation series last Saturday afternoon at Lawaqa Park.
The winner of the series will feature in the Super Premier division.
Shiek Ibrahim, the Fiji Football Association (Fiji FA) acting president said that the outcome of both protests has now been deferred.
He also confirmed that this Friday’s Fiji Sun/GP Batteries National Football League clash between Tailevu Naitasiri /Nadroga against Ba has also been postponed.
“We have looked at the matter and another protest has been filed by Tailevu Naitasiri. In view of this I believe we need to study the protest more thoroughly before we can reach a conclusion,” Ibrahim said.
“Tailevu Naitasiri or Nadroga was scheduled to play Ba this Friday night but in view of the events we had no option but to call the match off but other matches will be played as scheduled.”
Nadroga and Tailevu Naitasiri played to a 0-0 draw last Saturday. Nadroga failed to maintain their performance as 10-man Tailevu Naitasiri left the horrors of their opening round performance to settle for a 0-0 draw.
Referee Dinamani Mudaliar had a busy afternoon as he had to go to this pockets six times. Tailevu Naitasiri’s Ricky Shankar was sent off late in the second half when he picked up his second caution.
A protest hearing later took place on the following day and the decision was to be made yesterday.
Ibrahim said the outcome of both protests would be announced within the next few days.
