Tailevu Naitasiri confident

“We are looking forward for the battle which starts on Friday; there are light injuries in the team but nothing serious as the boys would step up for the challenge. Our aim is to develop players for the next season so that we could be promoted in the Super Premier division,” Vonolagi said.
The side will be depending on the experience players for them to win and the coach Vonolagi believes winning the tournament would be bonus for the side.
“Winning the tournament would be bonus for us since our focus is to develop players for next season and winning in BOG and IDC I would say it would be a bonus for us and that will indicate that we are preparing well for the next season,” Vonolagi said.
The former national goalie believes the Champions versus Champions series should be introduced for the premier teams as well.
“It is my view that the premier teams should have their own Champion versus Champions series for the teams in the Premier division and it will give us a lot of experience not just Champion versus Champion series but off season matches as between Premier teams and Super Premier teams,”
He also said that the teams in the Premier division who would be competing in the Fiji FACT are well prepared.
“We have lost to all the teams in National Football League Premier Division so we are the under dogs for this tournament. We respect all the teams whom we will be playing this week. We have a young side which include five under 20 players, two under 17 players but we will be coming up with the game plan so that we can do
well in the first tournament.” Vonolagi said.
Tailevu Naitasiri plays Rakiraki on Friday 11.30am.
