Fiji 1-1 New Caledonia

The Rusiate Matererenga captained side was up 1-0 in the 20th minute striker Christopher Wasasala found the net after the Fijians kept attacking the New Caledonia defense.
Fiji went down to ten men in the second half when goal scorer Wasasala was shown the marching orders after coping two yellow cards.
Wasasala who now has two goals to his name will miss Fiji’s final round robin match against host nation Vanuatu on Wednesday.
New Caledonian equalised in the 87th minute with the boots of captain Jean Brice Wadraiako.
Striker Manasa Nawakula and Matarerenga has chances to double Fiji’s lead but poor finishing did not do them any favour.
Fiji will play their last round match against Vanuatu on Wednesday.
Meanwhile Vanuatu and Solomon Islands played to a goal-less draw in an earlier match.
Vanuatu currently leads the points table with 4 points while Fiji and Solomon Islands have 2 points each and New Caledonia has 1 point.
