Ba Football side registered a convincing 3-1 victory over Suva in the Vodafone Premier League clash at the Fiji Football Association Academy grounds in Ba on Saturday.
It was an own goal in the 4th minute by Laisenia Raura that settled the Men in Black early into the game.
Experienced marksman Avinesh Waran Swamy and Malakai Tiwa scored a goal each in the second half to seal the victory for Ba.
According to the coach Shalen Lal, senior players in the team plays a vital role.
“I salute the senior players like Tiwa and Swamy who always steps up in guiding the young ones throughout the game,” Lal said.
He said the 1-1 draw against Nasinu earlier was served as an eye-opener for the boys.
“Yes, the draw was like a wakeup call for the boys as the season is still underway and we are once again aiming for the o-league spot.
“We also made some mistakes against Suva and we will surely go back to our drawing boards and work on it during the training sessions.”
