The Vodafone Fiji Football side will play two friendly matches against the Solomon Islands next week.
The Christophe Gamel coached side will hosts the Islanders at 7pm next Thursday at Suva’s ANZ Stadium while the second match will be played at 3pm on Sunday 28 at Lautoka’s Churchill Park.
Fiji Football Association chief executive officer Mohammed Yusuf says the two matches will be a good build matches for both teams.
“It is going to be a good build up match for both Fiji and Solomon Islands as they play in the FIFA World Cup Qualifiers-OFC Stage three fixtures, “Yusuf said.
Yusuf said, Solomon Island will play Papua Guinea in a two match series while the Bula Boys will face New Caledonia.
“The team will march into camp on May 21 just after the final pool matches of the Vodafone Fiji FACT in Suva.
“The team will march into camp on May 21 at FFA Academy in Vatuwaqa and will go for their run before facing the Islanders.”
He said the fans could expect a very quality football from both teams.
“I am sure the fans will have chance to watch some quality football as both teams will be vying for a win.”
The chief executive officer said they want the fans both in the south and west to witness the match.
“We have thought of giving both our fans in south and west to watch our Bula Boys play so we brought the match in Suva and also in Lautoka.”
He said the fans could watch the match with a ticket price of $10 on the pavilion and $6 on the embankment with child under 12 would pay $4 on pavilion and $2 on embankment.
“This is an international friendly match and we are giving a very reasonable price for everyone to enjoy the match, “Yusuf said.
He said the ticket sale would start on Monday 22 at Fiji Sports Council and Fiji FA Headquarters in Vatuwaqa.
“The ticket sales for Lautoka match will be at Lautoka City Council.
