The Fiji Football Association hosted its first ever Development Center competitions in Taveuni last Saturday.
Taveuni Football Association secretary Shelvin Chand said the competition was really well organised and thanked Fiji Football Association for bringing the tournament in the Garden Island.
“This was the first time such competition organised here in Taveuni and we had lots of positive feedback from the public, “Chand said.
He said the kids had a great day and enjoyed playing football in a different atmosphere.
“Most of the kids played football for the first time and they really enjoyed playing, “he said.
Chand said this was the best way to develop players from the very young age which would benefit Taveuni Football.
“The young players are our future and this is the right way to develop them and make them stars, “Chand said.
He said there were lots of talent in the Island which was shown last Saturday.
“We have seen lots of hidden talent which will be a great pathway for the Taveuni Football team, “Chand said.
