The Men in Black recorded a convincing 4-1 victory over Lautoka at Churchill Park on Sunday to create a six-point margin at the top.
Brothers Saula Waqa and Sanaila Waqanicakau scored a goal each to give Ba a 2-0 lead at the breather.
Lautoka’s Poasa Bainivalu got the Blues onto the score-sheet in the second half after scoring a direct free kick from outside the box.
However, Avinesh Waran Swamy showed his experience and got a brace to seal the win for Ba.
Looking at the overall standings after the first round, Ba leads the race with 19 points while Lautoka is second on the table with 13 points.
