Goalie keeps Savusavu at heart

Khan, played a vigorous role in helping Copra town boys getting promote in the top division football beating Nasinu in the Promotion/ Relegation competition but he has been not having a good journey on the field being thrashed on many occasion but this has not deterrent him from taking the field.
“It is the love of the football which helped me going on the field for my team though we could not do well in most of our matches after coming in the Super Premier division but I always give my hundred percent each time I take field,” Khan said.
Khan, 26 believes his boys have not thrown the towel but they give their all for the district and the people of Savusavu.
“Being the senior player in the side I have seen lots of ups and down in the team but I am very happy with the players and how they perform though we haven’t won any matches in the National Football League competition this year but we are giving our best for the team and for the sport,”
Savusavu was handed their 14 th consecutive defeat last Sunday at the hands of Navua and Khan says no matter where Savusavu will be next season but the he will be with the side.
“We do not know about the future where we will be playing next season or in which competition but one thing which I know very well is that I will always be with the side and being with the side during the cloudy side means a family member will always be with the family in the difficult days,” Savusavu warrior said.
When asked what does Savusavu means to him then he said that it means everything to him.
“I was born and grown up in Savusavu and that is the reason why I am close to the team and looking to have a brighter future with Savusavu in the coming years,” Khan added.
Savusavu was a dreadful trip to Viti Levu lossing 7-0 and 4-0 respectively to Rewa and Navua in the weekend.
