Primary schools sponsorship Increased: Patel

He made these comments as the 39th CJ Patel Group sponsored Fiji Primary Schools Football Association Inter District Championship concluded at ANZ Stadium in Suva on Friday afternoon.
The Nadogo created history after winning the Under-12 grade for the first time in 39 year history of the primary school IDC.
The Vanua Levu based side beat Ba in the final 2-1.
Neither normal nor extra time could decide the winner as the winner was decided through a penalty shoot-out.
Earlier in the semi-final Nadogo defeated Navosa 2-1.
Ba scooped the Under-14 grade after a close 1-0 victory over neighbours Lautoka.
With the primary schools IDC also being part of the Fiji FA – Vodafone- CJ Patel group consortium, $16,000 was allocated for the event this year.
Patel confirmed that this will increase to $20,000 next year and that Fiji FA will assist in a bid to accommodate districts like Levuka and Taveuni in the annual competition.
“This is one key area of development as these are our future stars and I’m pleased to announce that the sponsorship will increase to $20,000 next year. We hope this will allow the districts to participate and the young players will have an opportunity to take part in an event like this,” Patel said.
