Fiji to face Vanuatu, Solomon Islands next

The squad will march into camp on October 18 and will train under the newly appointed Fiji Football Association National head coach Frank Farina.
Fiji FA vice-president and national team director Tarunesh Reddy said they had lined-up matches for the various national teams.
“We are hopeful that we will be getting more teams lined-up for the U23 and for the national team at the same time with the Fiji U17 and U20 teams.”
“We have programmes lined-up and talks are undergoing for more international matches for various national teams, “Reddy said.
He said as the FIFA window approaches, they would try and get more matches and we have approached some of the countries and we are hopeful for positive outcome.
“Frank has already talked to me about playing some teams in Spain. We had an option to play in Dubai for one match, but going there and playing one match is not viable.
“There are plans of playing in Asia and we will definitely look into it. With the Fijian U20 we went and played in Australia, and then they came back and played in Malaysia and went to Myanmar. After that we went to Australia to play more games.
Meanwhile, Fiji FA president Rajesh Patel said their affiliates in New Zealand and Australia were ready to help.
‘When the team comes into camp we will see if can get them trips to Australia and New Zealand,” he said.
“We have a very good relationship with NZFFI and AFFA and they have been very supportive in our international tours.
“Whatever the cost of the trip while in Australia and New Zealand, these two associations are ready to help.
“They will look after the team and we only have to pay the airfare to get the team there.
“We are hopeful that Fiji Airways will come on board. They have given the indication and with the national carrier we hope to plan a package with them so it becomes easy for the national teams to travel, “said Patel
