“We took a very young side to the Pacific Games and for them to finish third is an achievement,” Logaivau said.
“We have to realistic that we were up against sides that were better prepared and exposed then us but this achievement has set a platform for something to work on.”
With the Pacific Games over now the focus shifts towards the Olympic Games playoffs which will be held in Fiji.
The overall winner of the playoffs plays a one off test against New Zealand to determine Oceania’s representative to the Olympic Games.
Logaivau, said they now need to look at ways and means as they playoffs awaits them.
“We have to re look at the structure that we have at the moment for women’s football in order to better our performance at the international stage. To compete at the international stage we have to be exposed and have a strong local competition as well,” he said.
