The former national rep guided to a second place finish at the 2011 Inkk Mobile Battle of the Giants and last weekend to a semifinal at the Courts IDC.
Khan says he has plans in mind to further continue his studies. Suva lost 1-0 to Ba during the Courts IDC semifinal last Sunday.
“I’m not saying this because we lost in the IDC. The reason is that I want to further pursue my studies and have already enrolled for next semester,” Khan said.
“I cannot promise anything as far as my future as Suva coach is concerned. I haven’t spoken to the Suva president but I cannot confirm at the moment whether I’m coming back or not. Chances look slim because with studies, family and work commitments I believe that time will be a major factor.”
Despite the chance of Khan’s return under a cloud of doubt, he however believes he may opt to return in future if he backs out in 2012.
“Even if I’m not there in the next season I will still support the side and ready to help. I would like to comeback in future if I’m not there next season and continue where I left off
but at the moment looking at my situation I think Suva will need to look for a new coach.”
