Rivals clash

Both the teams have equal number of chances to win the Fiji Sun/ GP Batteries National Football League title later this month when the league season ends this season.
Ba after having played 13 matches one less than Suva enjoys a comfortable lead at the points table with 33 points after beating Navua 3-0 last Sunday while Suva is second on in the table with 31 points after 14 matches and will have a chance to go on the top of the table if they beat Ba on Friday night.
Ba has so far scored 50 goals while Suva remains nine behind then Ba with 41 goals forward.
National League board secretary Amitesh Pal says it is undoubtedly going to be one of the crackers of a match this year when the two rival teams meet.
“It is going to be a very good football match on Friday night as both the teams would not be settling for less than a win. Suva on one hand would want to win their third league title while Ba will be giving their all to win but in the past we have seen that Suva have created upset against Ba so it is very hard to predict who will win but it be a very good game,” Pal said.
The match kicks off 7.30pm on Friday.
