Navua in safe Hands

Gopal Naidu, formerly a secretary for the club has now taken over the vacant position.
Sharma had held the post for more than two decades and brought many glories to the district which includes the Fiji FACT, Battle of the Giants, Inter District titles and instrumental in the promotion of the side to the Super Premier division.
Naidu said Sharma’s enormous contribution cannot go unnoticed.
“Mr. Anil Sharma has done a lot of football here in Navua and his contribution can never be forgotten. From a premier division district, Navua rose up to claim a champion status in the country,” Naidu said.
“My task will now be to carry on from here and maintain the success which Navua has enjoyed over the last few seasons. It is my duty to carry the legacy of Mr. Anil Sharma.”
Fiji Football Association (Fiji FA) vice president Yogeshwar Singh was present and said the annual general meeting went on well.
Sharma also currently serves the Fiji FA board of control as a vice-president.
He believes Navua FC is in capable hands.
“Gopal has been with Navua for a while and looking at the new officials they all are business people which will be good for the district,” he said.
“At the moment I will serve my two years remaining term with the Fiji FA board.”
