Fiji FACT Pool Drawn

Defending champions and host Labasa was drawn in pool two along with Lautoka, Suva, and Nadroga.
Last year’s runners up Rewa heads pool one and will face off against Ba, Nadi and, Nadroga.
The 26th edition of the tournament will be played at Subrail Park in Labasa from June 17-19 while semi-finals and final will be played from July 1-3 at venues which would be confirmed depending on the teams which qualify for the semi-finals.
Former Labasa and Fiji International Roy Krishna who was the special guest during draws says the pool is exciting and is evenly drawn.
“Both pools are tough and I know the people of Labasa will have some exciting weekend football here after so long.
“I am a die-hard fan of Labasa and would request the players to be discipline and dedicate themselves for their district and give glory to people here in North next month.
Labasa president Rayaz Khan said they are ready to retain their title in front of their fans.
“The people of Labasa are looking forward to the tournament this year where we will be hosting,”
“It is a good opportunity for the people of Labasa to witness us playing in front of our home crowd. We will be hosting the tournament after a long time and everyone is excited.
“We are the defending champions and we will give our best shot to retain the title, “said Suva businessman.”
Labasa hosted the tournament thrice in its 25 years of existence. In 1992 Labasa outclassed Nadroga 1-0 in the final and then three years they were the defeated 4-0 by Suva. In 1999 they reigned champions again beating Lautoka 2-1 on home soil.
