Early break to benefit Suva

Suva coach Gurjit Singh is happy that they have started their preparation as they are drawn in a tough pool.
“We have just got some new players and they are gelling well with the team and it’s still a long way to go,” he said.
Singh is really happy with the performance of their new signing in the form of Lautoka and former Fiji Under-20 striker Rusiate Matererega.
“He has fitted very well with team and I’m very happy with his performance and I know he will improve a lot and will start scoring goals for Suva,” he said.
“Looking at his caliber I think he will fill the vacuum left by Ravinesh Karan Singh.”
Singh also confirmed that apart from two Spanish players, they are also getting in two players from the United States this week.
The Capital City side will play Auckland City in their first pool match on Day 1 of the OFC Champions League on April 11 at ANZ Stadium, Suva.
