Secretary Nalvindra Pratap, on behalf of NFA president Kamal Krishna Reddy said the centre would help in the development of football in the area.
“This is the first time such initiative has reached our district,” Pratap said.
“We have lots of potential players but there is no proper guidance and we also lack in terms of equipment. With the equipment provided by Fiji FA it will help us a lot. The centre will also help our elite players to make use of the equipment in order to develop their skills.”
He said they are looking forward to work with Fiji FA and would support them in every way in terms of developing football in the district.
“The Nadogo football team have created many histories in past years by beating Ba and Rewa on our home ground. We have also produced top players like Solomone Catarogo, Buli Cama and Francis Catarogo who have for the national teams.”
