Weet-Bix Shop N Save Lautoka and Royal Tea Nadi claimed close victories on Sunday during the Fiji Sun/Weet-Bix National Football League.
A 71st minute goal by former national Under-20 striker Abbu Zahid gave Lautoka a 1-0n victory over Sunquick Sigatoka Motor Spares Nadroga at Churchill Park.
At Prince Charles Park homeside Royal Tea Nadi had to work hard for a 1-0 win over Angel Mackerel Tavua. It took a Leeroy Samasia 80th minute goal for Nadi to claim victory.
The victory maintains Lautoka’s third position on the overall league standings and are just two points behind second placed Ba.
On the other hand the National League competition takes a break this weekend as teams have been given the week off to prepare for the 2011 Vodafone Fiji FACT tournament which will be held from June 9-13 at Churchill Park.
Defending champions Ba are in pool one with Rewa, Labasa, Tavua and Navua. Host Lautoka, Nadroga, Nadi , Suva and Savusavu are in pool two.

Evereday Tailevu Naitasiri upset Nivea Nasinu 3-0 during the Fiji Sun/Weet-Bix Southern Premier Division Football League on Sunday afternoon at TFL National Stadium in Suva.
Nasinu side which was relegated to the premier division at the back end of last season had no answer to the fiery Tailevu Naitasiri attack.
Ricky Shankar scored the Nausori-based sides first goalon the 4th minute. Hoteshwar Padarath got their second just before half time.
Nasinu fought their way back in the match in the second spell but their campaign faced a major blow as Rohit Chand added Tailevu Naitasiri’s third.
Lami maintains their top spot with seven points while the victory gives Tailevu Naitasiri the second.
