The Vodafone Women’s Senior League 2019 final playoffs could not complete at the Fiji Football Association Academy grounds in Ba over the weekend.
Fiji FA competitions manager Amitesh Pal confirmed the referee had to abandon the match due to adverse weather conditions.
“There was heavy rain and continuous lightning experienced at the half time break of the final match between Ba and Rewa and hence the referee had to abandon the game because the weather did not improve even after waiting for some time,” Pal said.
“Fiji FA board of control will now decide on the next move as far as the continuation of the game is concerned.”
Ba was leading Rewa 3-0 at halftime when the match was abandoned.
