The official opening of the 2020 Vodafone Women’s Inter-District Championship will be done Minister for Women, Children and Poverty Alleviation Honorable Mereseini Vuniwaqa.
This was confirmed by Fiji FA chief executive officer Mohammed Yusuf.
Yusuf thanked Honorable Vuniwaqa for accepting their invitation.
“I would like to thank Honorable Minister for accepting our invitation and making herself available to officially open the tournament today at 6pm at ANZ Stadium in Suva.
Yusuf said in an effort to encourage and empower women in football management/operations, for the first time in history we have decided to appoint an all Women working group for the tournament.

The Vodafone Women IDC 2020 will be played from 28 October to 02 November 2020 at ANZ Stadium, Suva.
