We had a thrilling and exciting round of Vodafone Premier League last weekend as all top eight teams are now fighting for victory in the second round. The feature match last weekend saw Ba and Rewa play to a 1-1- draw which keeps the Delta Tigers at the lead on the VPL points table with 17 points. Ba is on second spot with 16 points while Suva after a convincing 3-1 win against Labasa is on third position with 15 points. Nadi has moved to fourth spot after a 5-0 drubbing to Navua while Lautoka after a 1-1 draw against Nasinu sits on fifth position while Nasinu goes to sixth position. Labasa is second last with seven points while Navua is on the bottom of the table with four points.
This weekend we will again witness exciting and thrilling football actions in the Vodafone Premier League as Labasa will travel to Uprising Artificial Turf to face Navua at 7pm onn Saturday which is expected to a thriller match as Navua will come out firing as well Labasa after their loss last weekend.
On Sunday at 1pm Lautoka and Nadi will take the field at Prince Charles Park in Nadi while at 3pm on Sunday Rewa will host Nasinu at Ratu Cakobau Park while Suva and Ba will battle at ANZ Stadium in Suva. For sure the fans will some exciting and interesting weekend of football actions this weekend.
The Vodafone Senior League in both Viti Levu and Vanua Levu is heating up as all the teams are fighting for the top spot. Nadroga is currently in the race for Viti Levu title while Seaqaqa in leading the Vanua Levu Zone.
The Vodafone Senior Women’s League is coming expected to finish next month and eight best teams from around the country will start their preparation for the 2020 Vodafone Women’s Inter District Championship to be played in October.
On the same note I am pleased to say that there have been so much demand for the Mom & Pop League and we have decided to resume the program for the interest of the children under 10. The program will be held at 10 different venues around the country and you can check our media release for the venues and time.
