The Vodafone Premier League 2020 is getting interesting as the first round of competition concludes this weekend.
The last match for the first round of competition will see Ba host Suva in a lone match at Fiji FA Academy Ground in Ba this Saturday at 3pm.
Rewa has confirmed top spot with sixteen points after playing seven matches in which they won five, drew one and lost one.
Last weekend the Delta Tigers defeated Lautoka 1-0 via a goal from Josaia Sela in the 22nd minute of play at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori which gave the Marika Rodu coached side the maximum point to lead the VPL table.
Ba and Suva both are on twelve points with the Capital City on more goal advantage but the win or draw for any team will not make any impact on the Delta Tigers.
The Men-in- Black after a 2-1 win against Labasa and the Capital City side after beating Nadi 1-0 last weekend will fight for the second spot on the table.
Lautoka is on fourth position with ten points while Nadi sit on fifth position with nine points. Labasa and Nasinu both have seven points but Labasa has a more goal advantage and sits on sixth position.
Navua despite upsetting Nasinu 3-2 last weekend sits on the bottom of the table with four points with a win and draw.
The second round of VPL will kick off on 22nd August after the 2020 Punja’s Battle of the Giants Tournament which will see Ba host Rewa at Fiji FA Academy Ground in Ba.
