Fiji Football Association looking for suitable person to lead the development of futsal and beach soccer in the country.
Fiji FA chief executive officer Mohammed Yusuf says they invite suitably qualified person for the Head of Futsal/ Beach Soccer Development.
“The person will be based at our headquarters in Suva and will be responsible for the overall growth of futsal and beach soccer in the country, “said Yusuf
Yusuf said the person they were looking for would be responsible for developing Fiji FA operational strictures and competition framework for futsal and beach soccer.
“The person will need to lead the futsal development in the country in all divisions. Create opportunities for girls and women to participate in both codes, “said Yusuf
“Also developing players for the national futsal and beach soccer team to the regional and world championships and working closely with all districts to ensure consistency,”
“Assist in operations and projects concerning futsal and beach soccer and lead the charge in recruiting, developing and retaining players, coaches, volunteers and administrators.
He said the suitable person would be looking after the successful running and progress of National Futsal Leagues and tournaments.
“He will have to work closely with all other departments both internal and external. Coordinate and conduct professional development workshops and develop a futsal pathway for all, “said Yusuf
Yusuf said preference would be given to candidate with following qualifications.
“OFC C- License or equivalent, post-secondary education degree or diploma and/ or sports related degree or equivalent experience. Strong verbal and written communication skills, Analytical thinking, problem solving, organizational skills, initiative and team player. Ability to influence and develop others. A demonstrated commitment to futsal and beach soccer participation, Thorough understanding of the developmental need of players and coaches. Sense of ownership and pride in his performance and its impact on the organizations success.
He said the person will need to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays when needed.
