Fiji Football Association Technical Director Timo Jankowski believes Fiji has heaps of raw talents in football in the country.
“For the past few weeks I have been going around the country and conducting trials for our national U16 and academy team and I am impressed with the enthusiasm shown by the players,”
“At some places, more than 100 players showed up and I could see a lot of talent and passion and we will try our very best to build up the right setting and opportunities that the talent can blossom,” said Jankowski
“The best players are having weekly training at the three centers and we will select the best 40 for the first camp for the National U16 team soon,”’
‘I am really impressed to get the players to the positions which we need.”
“We have set up a program for the players and I am sure we will do wonders during the OFC U16 Championship in September,”
The Digicel national U16 team will be coached by assistant national team coach Master Sunil Kumar.
