Two more teams will be joining the Vodafone Women’s Senior League next year.
Nazia Ali Krishna, Fiji Football Association executive board member confirmed that Rakiraki and Nadogo women teams have shown interest in joining the competition.
“Currently we have 16 teams participating in the league and with inclusion of Rakiraki and Nadogo it will be 18 from next year,”
Krishna said they were trying to get more girls and women involved in playing football.
“We are going to communities to expose this sport and to get more participation,” said Krishna
She said there would different level of competition next year.
“We will be introducing Women’s Super League which will be played as tier one competition in which six teams will participate and while the rest of the teams will compete in the tier two competition, “said Krishna
