Treat for fans in Bua

For the first time six northern teams will meet in the Vodafone Senior League fixture in Bua this weekend.

Fiji FA chief executive officer Mohammed Yusuf said this would give the people of Bua opportunity to watch their teams at home as well as other five northern teams at one venue.

“Bua Primary School will be the host for the two days of football actions, “said Yusuf.

“On Saturday at 11am Nadogo will play Dreketi, at 1pm Bua will face Savusavua and at 3pm Seaqaqa will battle Taveuni,”

“On Sunday at 10am Taveuni will challenge Bua while at 12 noon Savusavu will battle Nadogo and the final match at 2pm will see Dreketi take on Seaqaqa.

Meanwhile Bua is currently leading the Vodafone Senior League Vanua Levu zone after the start of the second round of competitions.

The Roneel Ram coached side after playing six matches is with 15 points after five wins and a loss while Dreketi is on second spot with 12 points. They have won four matches and loss two.

Seaqaqa sits on third place with ten points after winning three matches, a draw and two loses behind them on fourth place is Nadogo with seven points in which they registered two wins, a draw and three defeat.

Savusavu is on fifth position with four points while Taveuni is on bottom of the table with same points but Savusavu has better goal advantage. Both have won one match, one draw and four loses.

The winner from VSL Vanua levu zone will face champion of Viti Levu in a final play –off and the winner will have direct promotion to Premier Division next season.
