Tough battle for Jetsetters

It will be an uphill battle for the All in one Builders Nadi football side when they take on the current leaders FoodCity Rewa in the Vodafone Premier League clash at Ratu Cakobau Park this Sunday.

Nadi head coach Kamal Swamy is anticipating a tough encounter as they will be without their top choice goalkeeper Vereti Dickson who is out on a double yellow card situation.

“They (Rewa) will be coming for us as we have beaten them in the Punjas Battle of the Giants so it will definitely be a tough match,” he said.

Swamy said he needs to work on a few transitions as the players sometimes slows the game down.

“When we need to make the game fast, some of the players were slowing it down,” he said after their 3-2 win over neighbours Lautoka last Sunday.

“What we did in the training session they didn’t want to do in the game, so in the change room we talked about it and then they showed up in the second half.

To match Rewa this week, Swamy said they need to prepare well.

“We need to prepare well in order to play well.

“We will be traveling to their home ground, I know it will be tough but we will try our best.”

The match is scheduled to kick off at 3.00pm.
