Fiji Football Association president Rajesh Patel said this year’s theme “Rise Fiji Rise” of Sukuna Bowl challenge was heartening.
“With this year’s theme “Rise Fiji Rise which focuses on helping children affected by economic crisis caused by the pandemic is heart touching and we are proud that football is part of it,” said Patel
Patel who was the chief guest during the football challenge match said it was a strong message.
“The Police team had “Our Children” printed on their jersey while the Army had “Rise Fiji Rise which is a clear message of caring for our future, “said Patel
Patel congratulated Fiji Police team for retaining their title beating Army 2-0.
“I congratulate Fiji Police football team for their effort in retaining their title and also to Army for giving a good fight to their counterparts,”
Patel thanked both forces for helping football players and recruiting them.
“I thank both security forces for thinking about our football players and their families by recruiting them and giving them opportunity to serve the country as well,”
Labasa striker Ratu Anare was the star for the Police team after be netted two goals last Wednesday to help Police retain their against Army at Albert Park in Suva.
