Teams set for round 2

The Vodafone Premier League 2020 resumes this weekend at four different venues in the country.

After a week’s break for the 2020 Punjas BOG, the top eight teams in the country will battle for the 2020 Vodafone Premier League title as we enter in the second round of the competition.

Points table leaders and 2020 Punjas BOG champions FoodaCity Rewa side will be out to continue its winning run when they will face Ba at FFA Academy Ground in Ba on Saturday at 3pm.

In their VPL round one meet this year, Ba defeated Rewa 1-0 at Ratu Cakobau in the first round of the league and secondly they have met in the semi-final of the 2020 Punjas BOG where Rewa won 8-7 in penalty kicks. The Ba vs Rewa match will be top of the table clash as we see the Delta Tigers are on 16 points while Ba sit on 15 points.

A win for Ba will put them on top of the table.

On Sunday at 1pm Nadi will host Navua at Ptince Charles Park in Nadi. Nadi is on fifth spot while Navua is on the bottom of the table with four points. In the first round Nadi defeated Navua 2-1 at Uprising Artificial Turf earlier this year.

The 2020 Punjas BOG finalist Suva will host Labasa at 3pm on Sunday at ANZ Stadium in Suva. The Capital City side is on third place on the points table while Labasa is on 6th place. In the first round Suva won 2-1 at Subrail Park in Labasa

Nasinu will host Lautoka at Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori at 2pm on Sunday. The Giant Killers are on seventh position with seven points while Lautoka sit on fourth place with ten points. The Sugar City boys in the first round had thrashed Nasinu 6-0.
