Team to regroup

Nasinu football coach Shivan Nathan believes his side will regroup in the second round of the Digicel Fiji FACT when it proper kicks off on Thursday at Lawaqa Park in Sigatoka.

The former Suva, Navua, and Nasinu midfielder who took charge just a week before the tournament said he was disappointed with the result.

‘Actually, I am not very disappointed with the performance but I know the boys did their best,”

“We had some key players missing in the match and hopefully they will join us this week,”

“We came back in the second half after going into break 1-0 down but our players lost concentration in the defense which cost us but no complains but we will work harder now after the loss to be competitive in the tournament,”

“The boys played according to the game plan and we missed a lot of opportunities and could have won but its football and we made a mistake in defense which Tailevu Naitasiri utilized,” said Nathan

“Nevertheless tough match for us as we are rebuilding our team and lets what we can do in our next game,”

Nasinu will face defending champions Ram’s Cleaning Services/ All Freights Logistics Suva FC on Thursday at 3 pm.

Nathan who scored the winning goal for Suva in the 2012 Fiji FACT says it will be a hard match against the Capital City.

“Suva is an experienced team with quality players and we are a very young side but I am sure we will give them a tough battle on Thursday,”

“We lacked four of our quality players and they will join us this week which will boost the squad and I am confident of a good outing against Suva,” said Nathan.

“We need to build confidence in our players so that they can get more exposure so they can make the right decisions and I am sure they will come out good in other games,”

Nathan said they would regroup this week and work out their plans to face Suva in the next match.

Nasinu lost 1-2 against Safety Security Management  Tailevu Naitasiri in the opening match last Sunday.
