Tavua, Seaqaqa to battle for top league spot

Tavua and Seaqaqa will meet in the first leg of the Digicel Senior League playoffs on October 29 at Subrail Park in Labasa.

Fiji FA competitions manager Amitesh Pal said the winner from the two-leg series would get automatic promotion to the top division.

“Tavua as the champions of Viti Levu Zone and Seaqaqa as the winners of Vanua Levu zone will play in two-leg series and the winner gets the direct promotion to the Premier Division, “Pal said.

He said the fixture would be a cracker as both teams had prepared well for the series.

‘I am sure fans can expect firecrackers to explode as this will be a very important match for both teams.”

Pal said both teams were very strong in their division.

“Both teams are well organised and play structured football and the fans in Labasa will enjoy the first leg, “Pal said.

He said the second leg of the series would be played on November 5 at Garvey Park in Tavua.

Meanwhile, Nasinu has been demoted to the senior division after finishing last in the Digicel Premier League points table this season.
