Tavua Football Association Local League 2020 started on Sunday 23/02/20 at Tavua Primary School, Tavua with a total of 7 regional clubs participating.
Town Boys Football Club, Natawa Combine Football Club, Korovou Boys Football Club, Davota Football Club, Matalevu Football Club, Whitestar Football Club and Tavua Police Football Club.
The first round of matches were played on Sunday 23/02/20 with Town Boys FC defeating Korovou FC by 2 goals to nil, followed by Natawa FC comfortably defeated Davota FC by 5 goals to 1 and the last match of the day was between Whitestar FC and Matalevu FC where Whitestar FC won the match by 2 goals to nil. Tavua Police Football Club was on Bye.
Tavua Football Association Local League coordinator Mr. Nazeel Ali said it is after a lapse of more than 10 years, Local League Competition has been revived in Tavua and he thanked Fiji FA for their presence in setting up the Local League Competition and sorting out the all the player registration requirments.
Seven team single round robin competition will continue next week and will be played till August 2020.
